Divorce Appraisals

Divorce is often one of the most difficult times in a person’s life. When real property is involved, an accurate, objective, and independent appraisal can help both parties and their attorneys make informed decisions.

Since 1984, Hollenback Appraisal has provided credible real property appraisals for divorce and other legal matters throughout Lee County, including Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, and Pine Island.

As a Florida State Certified General Appraiser, George Hollenback has more than 40 years of appraisal experience valuing residential, mixed-use, and selected commercial properties.

In many divorce cases, an appraisal is needed to establish the value of a property for equitable distribution. Depending on the circumstances, an appraisal may be required as of the date of separation, the current date, or another date ordered by the court.

George Hollenback is frequently retained by one party or their attorney to provide an objective, impartial, and independent opinion of value. He is also asked to analyze another appraiser’s report and identify significant errors, unsupported conclusions, or inappropriate adjustments that may affect the credibility of the valuation.

Every assignment is completed in accordance with professional appraisal standards and is supported by careful market research, sound analysis, and well-documented conclusions.

When necessary, George Hollenback is available to provide deposition testimony and expert witness testimony regarding his appraisal opinions.
